El Castillo de Patras fue construido a mediados del siglo VI encima de las ruinas de la antigua Acrópolis, en una colina baja periférica de la Montaña Panachaiko y a cerca de 800 metros del mar en la ciudad de Patras, Grecia.[1] El castillo abarca 22.725 m² y consta de una muralla exterior triangular, reforzada por torres y puertas y además protegida originalmente por un foso, así como un complejo interior en la esquina noreste, también protegido por un foso.
