Citerón , actualmente conocido como Elatiás, es un macizo montañoso de la zona central de Grecia, entre el Ática al sur, Beocia, al norte y Megara, muy célebre en las leyendas por las musas que ahí se decía habitaban y por el culto a Dioniso que se rendía en este lugar. Recibió su nombre de un rey mitológico de Platea.
