Entre la rue des Combattants, rebaptisée ainsi après 1918, et la rue Maréchal Foch (Maréchal de France, né le 2 octobre 1851 à Tarbes et mort le 20 mars 1929 à Paris. Ferdinand Foch est un officier général et académicien français. Il fut le commandant en chef des forces alliées sur le front de l'Ouest pendant la Première Guerre mondiale.), se situe le cimetière communal de Virton. Ce monument situé dans la pelouse d’honneur du cimetière communal de Virton se compose d’une colonne prismatique carrée de 3,50m surmontée d’une urne funéraire. Sur la plaque, vous trouverez les noms des 8 enfants de Virton morts pour la Patrie ainsi qu’un flambeau sculpté dans la pierre et la phrase : « La Ville de Virton à ses Enfants Morts pour la Patrie ». Les cérémonies officielles se font au Monument devant l’Hôtel de Ville de Virton.
