Le Statens Museum for Kunst , en abrégé SMK, est le principal musée du Danemark consacré aux beaux-arts. Il est situé dans la capitale, Copenhague.Le musée abrite des collections artistiques dont les pièces les plus anciennes remontent au XIIe siècle. La section d’art ancien européen et danois comprend notamment des œuvres de Mantegna, du Titien, du Tintoret, de Brueghel l'Ancien, Rubens, Frans Hals ou Rembrandt, ainsi que des tableaux parmi les plus représentatifs de l’« âge d’or de la peinture danoise ». Dans la section d’art moderne, on trouve notamment les œuvres d'artistes tels que Picasso, Braque, Léger, Matisse, Modigliani ou Emil Nolde ; les artistes danois modernes – comme le peintre Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg ou le sculpteur Carl Bonnesen – sont largement représentés.
