Située à la frontière belge, cette résidence néo-classique majestueuse est classée comme monument national. On surnomme Le Château de l’Hermitage le château aux 200 fenêtres, réellement 236, il fut construit entre 1786 et 1789, par l’architecte Chaussard pour le Maréchal Prince Emmanuel de Croÿ, proche de Louis XV, et qui s'intéressa à l'exploitation de la houille notamment à Anzin. C’est là que fut signée la convention à l’origine de la Compagnie des mines d’Anzin. Depuis deux ans, le château de l’Hermitage connaît une nouvelle jeunesse, grâce aux travaux entrepris. La visite est possible sous réserve d’acceptation des propriétaires.
