Vindolanda, aussi appelé le fort romain de Chesterholm, est un camp construit dans la province romaine de Bretagne situé au Royaume-Uni, dans le nord de l’Angleterre, à proximité du mur d’Hadrien et sur le tracé de la Stanegate. De nombreuses tablettes de bois, écrites par des soldats romains en garnison au IIe siècle y ont été retrouvées.
