Sveti Stefan est un village du sud du Monténégro, dans la municipalité de Budva. En 1890, il n'y avait que trois maisons[réf. nécessaire]. C'était un ancien village de pêcheurs, avant de devenir un complexe hôtelier.
Vladimir Mitrović était le directeur du palace avant l'achat de la concession du site par la société grecque Restis. De nombreuses stars du cinéma y ont séjourné au cours des années 1950.
