Il Canton Glarona è un cantone della Svizzera centro-orientale. La sua capitale è Glarona. Ci sono 3 municipalità nel cantone. La popolazione è prevalentemente di lingua tedesca.
Il territorio del cantone confina con il Canton San Gallo a est, con il Canton Grigioni a sud e con il Canton Uri e il Canton Svitto a ovest.
Il Canton Glarona è dominato dalla profonda vallata del fiume Linth. Gran parte dell'area è montagnosa. Il picco più alto, nelle Alpi Glaronesi, è il Tödi con 3614 m. Altre montagne comprendono l'Hausstock e il Glärnisch . Nel cantone si trova un grosso lago chiamato Lago di Walenstadt. La superficie totale del Canton Glarona è di 685 km², dei quali circa la metà è considerato produttivo. La silvicoltura è un settore importante dell'economia del cantone.
