Het Jenneval monument op het Martelaarsplein herdenkt de auteur van de Brabançonne. Jenneval is het pseudoniem van (Hyppolyte) Louis Alexandre Dechet (ook: Dechez). Het was een Frans theateracteur en is bekend gebleven als auteur van de tekst van de Brabançonne, het Belgisch volkslied. Hij sneuvelde later in een gevecht tegen Nederlandse troepen bij Lier. Meer exact: Holle Weg te Boechout, nabij het Hof van Boechout.
