In een interview met Sophia Loren (New York Times), werd ze gevraagd wat haar favoriete filmplaats was. Loren zei: "Ik heb een film gemaakt ... in Griekenland, in Hydra, een van de mooiste plekken ter wereld. Ik herinner me het met grote vreugde. Het was voor mij de start van mijn Amerikaanse bioscoop carrière. EN de start van de relatie met mijn man. Het was een mooi, euforisch moment voor mij. Ik zal nooit Hydra vergeten". 'Sophia Loren speelde Phaedra hier, de dochter van een sponsduiker:' Boy on a Dolphin' wordt in de cinéma getoond in 1957. De volgende zomer begint Hydra duizenden toeristen te ontvangen.
