Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. is een Italiaanse fabrikant van luxe sportwagens die eigendom is van Audi. Lamborghini's productiefaciliteit en het hoofdkantoor zijn gevestigd in Sant'Agata Bolognese, Italië.
Ferruccio Lamborghini vergaarde zijn fortuin voornamelijk in de fabricage van Lamborghini-tractoren in Italië en Spanje. Hij was begin jaren zestig een bon vivant met een passie voor snelle wagens en bezat daarvan een aanzienlijke collectie. Ferruccio Lamborghini had onder andere een splinternieuwe Ferrari die in één jaar tijd viermaal terug naar de fabriek moest wegens gebreken. Toen Ferrucio de achttien jaar oudere Enzo Ferrari hierover misnoegd aansprak zou deze laatste hem neerbuigend hebben afgewimpeld: "The clutch is not the problem. The problem is you don’t know how to drive a Ferrari and you break the clutch."
