Over een brede geasfalteerde weg komt u via het gehucht Groestaen op een hoogte plateau waar u het toerisme achter u heeft gelaten. Onderweg bent u ook de Mont St. Nicolas, waar u de eerder beschreven Super bassins kunt gaan bewonderen, gepasseerd. Net na de spaarbekkens wordt de weg smaller en biedt aan alle zijden een prachtig panorama. De slingerende soms dalende en dan weer klimmende smalle weg voert over een bergkam vol donkere hoge naaldbomen en brengt u in de schilderachtige vallei van de Blees.
