Wist je dat het ramptoerisme naar het plaatsje Borculo voor de eerste verkeersfiles zorgde in Nederland. Op 10 augustus 1925 werd het Gelderse Borculo en omgeving getroffen door een cycloon. Er vielen vier doden en tachtig gewonden. Er werden grote verwoestingen aangericht in een strook die over dir dorp trok. Borculo was er het ergst aan toe. Deze ramp wordt vaak de Stormramp van Borculo genoemd. Er is nu een museum dat aandacht besteedt aan deze episode in de geschiedenis van het stadje. Na de stormramp werden zelfs busreizen ingelegd om het dorp te gaan bezoeken. Ramptoerisme in zijn zuiverste vorm.
