El monument es va instal·lar a finals de 2020 i va ser dissenyat per l'agència creativa local Fisheye .
L'obra està feta d' acer corten (aquest metall de color marró rovellat). Representa dues figures abstractes, una al costat de l'altra, però sense una mossegada. Aquesta retallada simbolitza la pèrdua i el buit que la pandèmia ha deixat en els que es van quedar enrere.
El municipi volia crear un lloc serè al costat de l'aigua on la gent pogués reflexionar en pau i recordar els seus éssers estimats.
