El Jardí del Rocher deu sens dubte el seu encant al quiosc de música, declarat Patrimoni de la Humanitat per la UNESCO, on a l'estiu se celebren concerts en el marc del festival Ville a Musiques.
Le Jardin du Rocher també té un estany i una pista de petanca.
La necessitat de naturalesa va augmentar amb la revolució industrial. Les ciutats es van “ventilar”: es van enderrocar barris marginals, es van traçar bulevards i avingudes i es van plantar arbres per caminar i es van crear grans parcs i places públiques . Els jardins es van convertir en una part essencial de la planificació urbana.
