El sisè Sandettié, anomenat així en honor al Banc de Sandettié , va ser l' últim vaixell de bombers francès a entrar en servei.
Va ser construït el 1947 a Forges et chantiers de la Méditerranée, a Graville le Havre, amb el nom de BF 6 (bateau-feu no 6) i va ser donat de baixa el juny de 1989 quan va ser adquirit per la ciutat de Dunkerque.
Actualment forma part de la col·lecció flotant del Museu Portuari de Dunkerque , juntament amb la goleta de tres pals Duchesse Anne. El Sandettié està classificat com a monument històric des del 17 de març de 19972. És un dels quatre únics vaixells far encara visibles a França i l'únic que es pot visitar.
