El sexto Sandettié, llamado así en honor al Banc de Sandettié , fue el último barco de bomberos francés en entrar en servicio.
Fue construido en 1947 en Forges et chantiers de la Méditerranée, en Graville le Havre, con el nombre de BF 6 (bateau-feu no 6) y fue dado de baja en junio de 1989 cuando fue adquirido por la ciudad de Dunkerque.
Actualmente forma parte de la colección flotante del Museo Portuario de Dunkerque , junto con la goleta de tres mástiles Duchesse Anne. El Sandettié está clasificado como monumento histórico desde el 17 de marzo de 19972. Es uno de los cuatro únicos buques faro aún visibles en Francia y el único que se puede visitar.
