Deva Victrix, o simplement Deva, fou una ciutat-fortalesa legionària ubicada a la província romana de Britània. Nascuda com un simple assentament, va evolucionar fins a convertir-se en la ciutat de Chester, capital del modern comtat de Cheshire . La seva construcció se situa a la dècada dels 70 del segle i, quan la Legio II Adiutrix la va edificar per emprar-la com a fortalesa defensiva en el seu avenç contra els brigants, tribu que habitava al nord de l'illa.
