Tromsø ; en sami septentrional: Romsa; en kven: Tromssa) és una ciutat i municipi del nord de Noruega, capital i ciutat més gran del comtat de Troms. És la segona ciutat més gran de la Lapònia, després de Múrmansk , així com la ciutat més gran de Nord-Norge i la setena del país.
El municipi té una població de 73.480 habitants , però amb el gran nombre d'estudiants compta amb gairebé 5000 persones més. L'àrea urbana de Tromsø és la més gran del nord de Noruega i el tercera més gran al nord del Cercle Polar Àrtic.
