Det ligger i dalen ved Arinsal-floden på 1467 meters højde. Inden for sit territorium findes toppene Coma Pedrosa, Medecorba og Pla de l'Estany, som er de højeste i landet. Arinsal-toppen grænser op til sognene La Massana og Ordino.
Befolkningen er på 800 indbyggere,[1]
men modtager et stort antal turister hele året rundt, især i højsæsonen, som i Andorra varer fra november til slutningen af april, da det er et af de førende lande til at praktisere skiløb, snowboard og bjergsport.
