Lohbachen udspringer sydvestligt under Hartehof i Kranebitten. Den flyder med meget lille hældning let buet langs den nordlige kant af dalbunden ved foden af Nordkette mod øst gennem bydelene Hötting Vest og Höttinger Au. Den passerer det i 1934/35 opførte og opkaldte Lohbachsiedlung efter sig. Ved Vögelebichl modtager den Höttinger Gießen fra højre, og den videre bæk løb kaldes også sommetider dette. Den flyder rørlagt gennem Höttinger Au og munder under universitetsbroen ud i Inn.
