Brandenberg er en kommune med 1551 indbyggere i Brandenberger-dalen og tilhører distriktet Kufstein i Tirol. Kommunen ligger i retskredsen Rattenberg. Kommunen Brandenberg omfatter de dale, der er formet af Brandenberger Ache og dens bifloder. I nordvestdelen af kommunen indgår desuden nogle parceller ved kilderne af Filzmoosbachen og Weißbachl. Kommunen grænser i nord op til Miesbach-distriktet i den tyske fristat Bayern og i syd op til kommunen Kramsach i Inntal.
