Fordi Kravaal-skoven aldrig er blevet intensivt dyrket, er jorden uberørt. Derfor finder du her om foråret en rig flora. Derefter danner skovanemoner og vilde hyacinter farverige tæpper mellem træerne. Der er også ridderspire og guldblomme.
I fugtige områder vokser svingel, marsk fritillaria og guldblomme, i magre områder skovanemone og plettet aronstab.
Det er lettere at spotte musvågen, skovuglen, spætten, den røde egern og hjortene.
