Como el Bosque Kravaal nunca ha sido cultivado intensivamente, el suelo permanece intacto. Por eso, aquí encuentras una rica flora en primavera. Entonces, las anémonas de bosque y los jacintos silvestres forman coloridas alfombras entre los árboles. También hay espuelas de caballero y buttercups.
En áreas húmedas crecen pastos de diente de león, fritilarias de pantano y buttercups, en áreas pobres de nutrientes anémonas de bosque y aronskelk manchado. Muchos animales vienen a vivir aquí, incluyendo el raro águila de los avisperos, pájaros carpinteros de apilamiento y medianos, pájaros carpinteros negros y salamandras de fuego.
Más fáciles de avistar son el busardo, el búho de bosque, el tapaculos, la ardilla roja y los ciervos.
