In nassen Gebieten wachsen Schwingel, Sumpf-Fritillaria und Butterblume, in mageren Gebieten Waldanemone und gefleckte Aronstab. Viele Tiere finden hier ein Zuhause, darunter der seltene Wespenbussard, gestapelte und mittelgroße Spechte, Schwarzspechte und Feuersalamander.
Leichter zu entdecken sind der Bussard, die Waldohreule, der Baumläufer, das rote Eichhörnchen und Rehe.
