Kødetter Vangenechten, kendt fra TV Eens serie "Af Kød og Blod" er "til at finde" i det hvide hus på Pastorijstraat. Denne topserie satte uge efter uge rekorder i Flandern. Miniserieserien Af kød og blod handler om slagteriet/charcuteriet Vangenechten, en familievirksomhed siden 1952, hvor bedstemor Maria Vangenechten stadig er tydeligt til stede og også formelt ejer, men søn André Vangenechten i princippet har snoren i handen.
