La boucherie Vangenechten, connue grâce à la série de TV Eén "De Chair et du Sang", se trouve "dans" la maison blanche de la rue de la Cure. Cette série phare a battu des records semaine après semaine en Flandre. La mini-série de télévision De chair et du sang parle de la boucherie/charcuterie Vangenechten, une entreprise familiale depuis 1952 où grand-mère Maria Vangenechten est encore très présente et est également officiellement propriétaire, mais c'est son fils André Vangenechten qui a en principe les rênes en main.
