Slagerij Vangenechten, bekend van de TV Eén serie "Van Vlees en Bloed" is "terug te vinden" in het witte huis in de Pastorijstraat. Deze topserie brak week na week een record in Vlaanderen. De minitelevisieserie Van vlees en bloed gaat over beenhouwerij/charcuterie Vangenechten, een familiebedrijf sinds 1952 waar moemoe Maria Vangenechten nog nadrukkelijk aanwezig is en ook formeel eigenaar is, maar zoon André Vangenechten in principe de touwtjes in handen heeft.
