Statue af digteren Prudens Van Duyse (Dendermonde 1804 – Gent 1859). Opført i 1893 på initiativ af Dendermonde bystyre, efter et design af billedhugger Godfried Devreese og arkitekt Victor Horta. I 1927 blev statuen flyttet til Frans Courtensgade som følge af en forhøjelse af Vlasmarkedet, og der blev samtidig tilføjet et nyt element til soklen af Fernand de Ruddere, byarkitekt i Dendermonde. Statuen blev i 1994 genoprettet på sin oprindelige placering, soklen blev restaureret til sin oprindelige tilstand og forsynet med et smedejernshegn inspireret af det originale design.
