Description

I 1258 fik begijnerne fra biskoppen af Kamerijk tilladelse til at bygge et kapel, og i 1259 til at stifte en egen menighed. Omkring 1261-1267 gave fra hertuginde Aleydis af Bourgogne af Brabant en "gammel saal fra et hus for at bygge en kirke eller kapel", formodentlig på samme sted som den nuværende kirke.
