Forbi knudepunkt 17 cykler du fra gæstgiveriet Ter Vaerent (vær opmærksom på mølstenen på væggen) på kanten af et naturområde. Her finder du stadig ægte gamle tørveskær. Også Molenbeek snor sig gennem dette naturområde. Forskellige autentiske mølleveje fører til Cottemøllen. En starter ved knudepunkt 17, en anden starter ved broen over Molenbeek, ved det tidligere café Brughuis.
