Bygget i den gotiske stil fra det 15. århundrede, mellem 1864 og 1867, har denne nu ubeboede bygning fungeret som Retshus indtil 2003 efter flytningen af de retlige tjenester til det nye Retcenter beliggende på Schalbert Plads. Efter befrielsen i 1944 havde Luxembourgs Krigsret til huse her fra oktober 1944 til maj 1947 og afsagde 2629 domme.
Over vinduerne på 2. sal bemærkes våbenskjoldene fra ti byer i provinsen, nemlig: La Roche, Bouillon, Houffalize, Virton, Neufchâteau, Arlon, Marche, Bastogne, Saint-Hubert, Chiny.
Ved foden af trappen til Retshuset minder en plade om, at på dette sted blev Joséphine François, Marcel og Edmond, en mor og hendes to sønner fra Lenclos (Etalle), skudt uden rettergang af tyskerne den 22. august 1914.
