Huwynsbosserne i Lichtervelde (35 ha) udgør en smuk grøn lunge i et relativt naturfattigt område. Det er derfor en stor attraktion for mange cyklister og vandrere i nærheden. Tag på opdagelse ved hjælp af Margrietestien (2 km - start parkering) eller prøv den omfattende Heihoek vandrerute (8,5 km). For ryttere og mountainbikere er der også en ryttersti og en mountainbikerute til rådighed. De mindste kan så lege frit i legeområdet 'De Elf Gemeten'. I Riddergade, lige ved skoven, er der en cykelparkering og et hyggeligt område til at tage på picnic.
