I boschi di Huwyns a Lichtervelde (35 ha) rappresentano un meraviglioso polmone verde in una zona relativamente priva di natura. È quindi una grande attrazione per molti ciclisti e escursionisti della zona. Esplora con il Margrietepad (2 km - partenza dal parcheggio) o cimentati nel lungo percorso escursionistico Heihoek (8,5 km). Per i cavalieri e i mountainbiker sono disponibili anche un percorso per cavalieri e un percorso per mountain bike. I più piccoli possono divertirsi nel bosco giochi 'De Elf Gemeten'. In Ridderstraat, vicino al bosco, è presente un parcheggio per biciclette e uno spazio accogliente per fare picnic.
