Wolvertem er en landsby i provinsen Vlaams-Brabant og en delkommune af kommunen Meise. Wolvertem ligger nord for landsbyen Meise og var en selvstændig kommune indtil kommunereformen i 1977. Den ældste omtale af stednavnet findes i stiftelsesdokumentet for Dieleghem Kloster i 1086 under navnet Vulvrethem. Navnet menes at gå tilbage til det 4. eller 5. århundrede. Navnedelen "Wolvert" er afledt af det franske personnavn Wolfhart eller Wolfert. Endelsen "em" betyder "bolig". Wolvertem betyder således "Wolfarts bolig".
