Kilderne til den lille flod ligger lidt nord for landsbyens kerne i Retinne. To kilder er godt synlige. Én kilde ligger ved en kapel, der er helliget Sankt Juliana i Voie des Messe. Navnet på floden Julienne henviser til den hellige Juliana af Cornillon, født i Retinne i 1192. En anden kilde ligger i Rue Fernand Chèvremont. Det drejer sig om to artesiske kilder, hvor vandet stiger opad lodret.
