Galgenberg var oprindeligt et socialt boligområde, beliggende mellem den Gamle Antwerps vej og afkørslen fra E19 Mechelen-Nord i Mechelen.
Under det gamle regime var Galgenberg et sted, hvor dømte blev henrettet. Her blev en formodes heks i 1642 brændt, bundet til en stang.
