Det feudale Hof van Elsmeren blev nedrevet i 1667 og erstattet af det nuværende slotkompleks; ombygningsarbejder i 1880'erne blev ledsaget af anlæggelsen af den første landskabelige park (1 hektar 73 are), restaurerings- og forskønnelsesarbejderne i 1923-1927 med opførelsen af neotraditionelle, regelmæssigt-symmetrisk strukturer (parterrehave i gården af nedre gård, terrasse, vandhave) og den landskabelige forskønnelse (farverige solitærer og grupper af træer) af det større område.
