Den fascinerende historie af Abdijen Bornem går tilbage til 1603. På klosterpladsen ser du statuen af stifteren, den spanske adelsmand Pedro Coloma. De autentiske klosterrum udgør en elsket ramme for kunstnere. Stolthed ved klosteret er det historiske 'prunkbibliotek' fra 1872 med omkring 35.000 værdifulde værker, herunder håndskrifter med miniaturer fra det trettende og fjortende århundrede.
