Barchon-fortet gik til grunde under stormen fra den tyske hær den 8. august 1914. I 1940 var dens modstand stærkere. Fra den 10. til 18. maj påfører fortet gentagne slag til fjenden, der reagerer med en vedholdende bombardement af artilleri og Stukas.
Åbent hver 2. søndag i måneden kl. 14 fra april til november. Besøget starter med et diasshow og slutter med et besøg på museet.
