Il forte di Barchon è andato in rovina a causa degli assalti dell'esercito tedesco l'8 agosto 1914. Nel 1940 la sua resistenza è stata più forte. Dal 10 al 18 maggio il forte infligge ripetutamente colpi al nemico che risponde con un bombardamento incessante di artiglieria e Stukas.
Aperto ogni seconda domenica del mese alle 14 da aprile a novembre. La visita inizia con una proiezione di diapositive e termina con una visita al museo.
