Det drejer sig om en i natursten opført, neoromanesk krydsbasilika uden tårn. Kirken er fra 1938, men først i 1982 blev facaden færdiggjort.
Kirken ejer en række kunstværker, der stammer fra den Gamle Sankt Agatha Kirke. Det drejer sig om fire portrætter, der tilskrives Gaspar de Crayer. Et maleri, der skildrer mødet mellem Kristus og Johannes Døberen, betragtes som værket af Antoon van Dyck.
