Es handelt sich um eine in Naturstein errichtete, neoromanische Kreuzbasilika ohne Turm. Die Kirche stammt aus dem Jahr 1938, die Fassade wurde jedoch erst 1982 fertiggestellt.
Die Kirche besitzt eine Reihe von Kunstwerken, die aus der Alten Sint-Agathakerk stammen. Darunter sind vier Porträts, die Gaspar de Crayer zugeschrieben werden. Ein Gemälde, das die Begegnung zwischen Christus und Johannes dem Täufer darstellt, wird als das Werk von Antoon van Dyck angesehen.
