Beliggende i dalen af Sambre syd for Thuin, er Bois du Grand Bon Dieu et populært vandrested for beboerne i regionen. Det består hovedsageligt af en eg-hassel skov, hvis atlantiske karakter understreges af den store mængde af kristtorn (Ilex aquifolium), mispel (Mespilus germanica) og skov anemoner (Hyacinthoides non-scripta). Godt belyste, om end meget begrænsede, sandstens skråninger understøtter en vegetation af lyng og silicium græsmarker, herunder lyng (Calluna vulgaris) og lille syre (Rumex acetosella). Disse klipper huser også en bemærkelsesværdig lavflora.
