Slot Groeningen har i århundreder været beboet af herrerne af Kontich, som havde magten over området. Fra 1830 kom slottet i besiddelse af familien Della Faille, som stadig bor der. Rundt om slottet er der en cirkel af vand, der forsynes af Mandoerse bækken. Denne vandløb udspringer i den nærliggende kommune Reet. Alleéer, parken og en række bygninger i området er beskyttet som landskabsbillede. Slottet er privat eje. Sørg for at gå en tur langs de smukke alléerne og få et glimt af dette mystiske gods.
