At gøre en nød til en dyd, det gjorde man med anlægget af cykelbroen ved IJzerlaan. For at muliggøre transport af skibe med flere containere over Albertkanaal måtte den tidligere IJzerlaanbro forsvinde. Broen var nemlig for lav.
På næsten samme sted dukkede der i 2017 en state-of-the-art cykel- og gangbro op. En dobbeltbøjet cykelrampe bringer dig op på den næsten 100 meter lange bro. Bliver du allerede tørstig ved tanken om, at du skal op ad rampen? Bestil så først en drink i café Welkom ved Noordschippersdok.
