Aafløbet fra Aa ligger mellem Zenne og kanalen Bruxelles-Charleroi. Det blev bygget i 1925. Ved kraftig regn og for at forhindre at floden oversvømmer længere nede, fører dette grøft overløbet fra Zenne til kanalen, som aafløbet munder ud i ved foden af slusen i Anderlecht. Det er en betondel med 4 automatiserede klapper. Langs denne afsporing af bækken mod kanalen findes også en række arter, der er knyttet til fugtige naturtyper, såsom pilesal, el, gule iris og - fra foråret - mellem grøn frø.
