Heysel-platået var ikke det eneste sted i byen, der gennemgik større ændringer til Verdensudstillingerne i det 20. århundrede. Omfattende arbejder fandt også sted i Mont des Arts-kvarteret i 1950'erne. Bruxelles Konferencecenter, som blev designet af Jules Ghobert og Maurice Hoyoux, blev indviet til Verdensudstillingen i 1958. Det bestod af flere underjordiske rum, to auditorier og en udstillingshal. Opdagelsen af asbest i slutningen af 1990'erne tvang det til at lukke midlertidigt og satte gang i restaurerings- og udvidelsesarbejderne i 2005. Det genåbnede dørene i 2009, da det blev omdøbt til Square - Bruxelles Konferencecenter.
