Santa Maria Val Müstair er en tidligere kommune i den schweiziske kanton Graubünden og ligger i det retoromanske Val Müstair. Kommunen omfatter udover hovedbyen også de små bjerglandsbyer Sielva, Pizzet, Pütschai, Craistas og Büglios. Det højeste punkt i kommunen er den 3033 meter høje Piz Umbrail, som rejser sig vest for Umbrailpasset.
Af befolkningen taler et flertal på 70% det retoromanske sprog, men antallet falder; i 1970 talte 81% stadig dette gamle sprog. Den vigtigste bygning i centrum er landsbyens kirke fra 1492.
Santa Maria Val Müstair er et vigtigt trafikknudepunkt. Mod øst fører vejen til den italienske Merano og Reschenpasset. Syd for byen ligger den 2501 meter høje Umbrailpas, og vest for Santa Maria ligger Ofenpasset, som er forbindelsen til Engadin.
