Det gamle herrehus nævnes allerede i året 1300. Dets ældste dele er midterfløjen og den venstre sidefløj med rund hjørnetårn. Anlægget blev færdiggjort omkring 1755 af Johann Conrad Schlaun. Den barokke symmetri opnåede han ved tilføjelsen af den højre fløj med et tilsvarende tårn.
Inden i slottet findes ridderhallen med den af Schlaun designede stukloft. I vestibulen er der en sandstenspejse fra året 1582 at se, og i sidebygningen er der et stort våbenskjold fra omkring 1700.
